Partha wins Club Junior Championship

After an eventful penultimate round of the Club Championship last night Partha Mulay in the last game to finish secured the win he needed to win the Junior Championship outright after his nearest challenger, Aadarsh Saravanan was held to a draw by Laurie Burtt.

There is still all to play for though in the final round on 24th April as Partha has his eye on a championship double. With just one round to go he is a point clear of David Spearman and Mark Murrell having already defeated both of them along the way.

The junior relative performance prize now falls to be contested by Kyan Bui, Aadarsh and Tejas Mulay and a battle royale that is too.  After eight rounds, Kyan and Tejas each with a relative grading performance of +23 are just ahead of Aadarsh at +20. Everything can change in the last round. This prize will be awarded by the Club Committee with the grading performance one of the factors that will help them decide.

All three are also contenders for a highest finish prize in their respective grading sections with Tejas leading the U85 section.

There must be some Champagne Moments from among their exploits too. A reminder to all competitors to get their entries in now.
