LAWRANCE AND FINCHLEY CUPS

The club has also entered the teams in the Lawrance and Finchley Cup rapidplay knockout events.

In the Lawrance Cup semi-final, the first team scored a convincing 6-2 victory at home to Barking on 7 October, but the second team lost 1½ – 6½ away to Barnet Elizabethans on 10 November.  The final was scheduled for 2 February at Barnet, but was conceded by the home team as only one of their players showed up at the venue.

In the Finchley Cup, the third team won 4½ – 3½ away to Chingford 2 in the quarter final on 13 October and 6½ – 3½ at home to Enfield 1 in the semi-final on  8 January.  The final will against Enfield 2 at Wanstead on 19 February saw the trophy retained with an 8 – 0 clean sweep.
